DEADSTROKES (DS) GENERAL RULES

 

NOTE:  Check Expected Penalties page for the severity of punishments. 

 

Any complaints about any rule violations are to be substantiated with a screenshot and forwarded to an Admin or HTD.

 

1.    1   Any form of cheating is unacceptable.  This includes:

a.       The proven use of aiming assistance programs – Category A Penalty

b.      Force Forfeiting another member – Category E Penalty

c.       Leaving on the 8 ball or bringing up the cancel box – Category E Penalty

d.      Other forms of cheating will be looked at on an individual basis

 

2.    2   Any member (whether on their league ID or not) that has been found to have directed foul language (F or C bomb) abuse towards another member will be punished – Category D Penalty.

3.    3    No member is to ever bring the name of the league into disrepute:

a.       In the lobby of our homeroom or in any other room by spamming or in any other way – Category B Penalty

b.      Lobby talk that is likely to inflame members or non-members – Category D Penalty

 

4.    4    Sportsmanship - saying gl and gg (after match is complete) - is not a mandatory requirement with DS.  Remember to use common sense and treat others how you wish to be treated yourself.

5.    5    Any dispute or other issue that you may have against another member, or staff member, must be taken private table and NEVER aired in the member's forum or in the lobby.  Failure to take it private shall result in punishment – Category E Penalty.

6.    6    Races are recognized as a legal match in our league.  Races may only be first to 3, 5 or 10 and only those amounts of games are to be reported.  NEVER under any circumstance race to a number and report more.  This is stats manipulation and is not allowed –  Category D Penalty.-- However if you do race and reports aren't made then it is up to you to get them made - please don't ever draw staff into the dispute.

7.    7    League matches must be reported either before another match is played or within 12 hours. If someone has not reported a league game that you have played based on the criteria just mentioned then you may file an unreported match and you will find the link to that on the Main Page.  It is imperative that you include the time, month and day that the match took place. Without this information, it may result in the match not being reported at all. Three unreported matches with penalties may result in punishment – Category B Penalty.

8.    8   If you are boxed, you may NOT participate in any way in any league or tourney games.  Any league games played during this period will be invalid.

9.    9   Those with a league name deemed unsuitable will be asked to change it.  Failure to comply with a reasonable request to change will result in punishment – Category A Penalty.

10.  10  Members are asked to NOT boot fellow league members from a table at anytime, you may request that they leave but NOT boot – Category D Penalty (after one warning).

11.  11  You are only allowed ONE account with the league. If more than one account is detected it may result in ALL accounts being deleted and that includes all bux and match histories.

12.  12  GHOST NAMES, deflated names or any otherwise manipulated names will NOT BE PERMITTED in the league.

13.  13  PROVISIONAL NAMES (i.e.: a name with less than 20 yahoo games) may join DS.

14.  14  Boosted names are OK - It is of no consequence to league players when, if you win, you don't win much and if you lose, you lose a heap.

15.  15  Boosting in the DS room is prohibited – Category E Penalty.

16.  16  It is your responsibility to make sure you have a valid Email address.  If one is found to be invalid it may result in your name being removed from the league.  Updating this can be done under User Account on the main page.

17.  17  Should you find it necessary to withdraw to rebuild a bux balance then you are NOT to do so until completion of any tournament you are in at the time, regardless of whether you have been eliminated or not.  Admins can help you with restoring your stats but can only do so if you give them notice that you intend withdrawing and then rejoining.

 

18 . 18   If you are playing from the same computer as another member (husband/wife - boyfriend/girlfriend - parent/child) then you may NOT play in the same tournament together - this is to ensure that all tnys run without hold-ups. Staff have a list of members in this category and will give the players the choice of which name to remove from a tny if both join.
