DEADSTROKES (DS) GAME RULES
All league and tourney
matches must be played on your league id. In a tourney, if you are
unable to accomplish this because your ID is barred by yahoo, please
advise the TD so they and the rest of the players are aware. This
exception is only applicable if your ID is barred for no more than
three days. For periods longer than this, you must change your
league ID via Edit Account on the main page.
- All tables are to
be "rated" and "protected" unless otherwise stated beforehand.
- The cue ball must
be moved a noticeable distance when taking the break.
- If you sink the 8
ball on a break you are required to re-rack.
-
NO re-racks are to
be given if either player has less than three object balls left on
the table. Beyond this restriction, re-racks are at your opponent’s
discretion.
-
If yahoo gives a
“ball in hand” after sinking 2 or more balls of different types off
the break then the next shot is to be taken where it lies. If you
fail to play the ball where it lays you are required to re-rack.
.
6.
Safeties (snooker shots) are allowed in the league though using them on
every shot will leave you in poor standings with your fellow members.
-
Attempting to
intimidate an opponent with “jinxing” or “taunting” is not allowed.
-
Glitches by yahoo
are a fact of life in yahoo pool, learn to live with them; excessive
complaining about them will get you both disrespect from your fellow
players and a penalty.
- Maximum 10 league
games per unique opponent per day.
- There is no
requirement for who invites opponent for a tourney match. The
sooner you invite, the sooner you can enjoy playing the game!
- Timers should be
requested in the lobby (unless otherwise specified) and should be
initiated ONLY after inviting your opponent to your table.
- No timers in any
early rounds - timers can only be called for on completion of any
previous round.
- Timers for all
tourneys are to be 7 minutes (cumulative per round/match up), except
bootems where timers will be 5 minutes (cumulative).
- Requirements for
becoming a TD include at least one week of activity with the league
and proven good relationship with members.
- In tournaments any
disputes will be settled by the TD that is conducting the tournament
and the decision of the TD is final.
- TDs must make sure
to update their TD name to reflect league name.
-
Races are
recognised as a legal match in our league.
Races may only be
first to 3, 5,
7 or
10 and only those amount of games are to be reported.
In other words if
you race to 3 you only report 3 - race to 5 and report 5 -
race to 7 and
report 7 - race to 10
and report 10 - NEVER under any circumstance race to a number and
report more. This is stats manipulation and is not allowed.-----
However if you do race and reports aren't made then it is up to you
to get them made - please don't ever draw staff into the dispute.
