HOW TO BECOME A TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR (TD)

ON THE DEADSTROKES LADDER

To become a respected member of our leadership team you must satisfy the criteria as out lined below – there are NO exceptions to these criteria.

TD APPLICATION CRITERIA

A prospective TD should share the league administrator’s ideals of what our league is all about, i.e.:

Having fun; and doing so in a manner that is socially acceptable in any normal society.

We aim to provide for everyone an environment where parents can safely have their children play and others that abhor bad behavior can also play without being subject to levels of abuse or bad language and bad sportsmanship that are unacceptable to the vast majority of the populations of the world.

The desire to help in a constructive manner, the ability to organize, the willingness to take direction and help from the TD Manager and/or the Head TD’s, the necessary acumen to take a situation that may become out of hand and resolve that situation in the best interests of all parties; and the desire to conduct regular tournaments are of paramount importance in your aspirations to become a Tournament Director of the Deadstrokes league.

Deadstrokes Tournament Directors are leaders and therefore must exhibit leadership abilities consistent with punctuality, accuracy, level headedness, discipline and commitment.

Necessary pre-requisites include, but are not limited to, the respect of other league members and the league staff; and league loyalty and to that end for any member desirous of becoming a TD is for the qualifying period of service in this league to be a  minimum of 25 games. (Unless otherwise negotiated)

Your training will take the following path: If you have never been a TD before you will be assigned to a trainer/mentor who will be responsible for your training program. Your trainer/mentor will work with you during your early tournaments before you are approved as a fully confirmed Deadstrokes TD.

New TD applicants that have never hosted a tournament before will have the trainer/mentor working with them for their first 10 tournaments. (After 5 tournaments have been completed and your assigned trainer/mentor is unavailable you may seek the assistance of another accredited trainer to assist with the balance of your first 10.)

If you were a TD in another league then you will be required to undergo training with a trainer/monitor for a minimum of 5 tournaments.

However if your trainer/monitor agrees then you can go on your own after completing 1 tourney.

There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to these criteria and all applicants will remain in training mode until training is completed.

To those existing TD members who wish to affect a name change. If you do wish to change your name, you must notify an Admin or Head TD so that the change can be circulated to the members.

If you think that you can meet these criteria then you are encouraged to submit an application.

ALL applications will be treated on their merits and absolutely no favoritism will be allowed to enter into any adjudication.

Any rejected application will be answered with a full explanation as to why it has been rejected.

Good Luck and may you always keep your cue well chalked.
